This was something I've done a while back and I thought the process was interesting. I didn't feel like I had ideas and I was just too used to one style. So wanted to break that a little.
I had a pack of index cards. It made it easier to experiment on paper that wasn't expensive drawing paper.
Then I decided to see what happens when I just drag my ink around a couple of times and see what shapes that might come out that'll inspire me.
Maybe write something here and there.
I just stayed random and quick without censorship. Whatever that wanted to come out was allowed.
After I made a couple of these, I just happen to line them up together and something interesting started to come together.
Like there was a narrative or a flow every time I shuffled them around, add or remove anything.
I started really liking this idea and it gave me inspiration to try this out.
I've learned that when I get too stuck on a style or uninspired, I'd have to just keep playing around with possibilities and without censorship and see what stuff might come out.
